Smart Kid General Knowledge Olympiad

Smart Kid General Knowledge Olympiad (SKGK) is one of the most reliable and ideal means possible to promote the development of a learner (based on topics such as History, Geography, General Science, World events and sports) both on interpersonal as well as on academic aspects. The Olympiad is conducted annually at the National and Global levels. The event is guaranteed to expand the view of a learner, consequently helping them comprehend and assess a problem better quickly than one would without sufficient education.

SKGK takes place at the individual schools of the participants during school hours. In years 2021-22, the Exam may be administered online during Jan/Feb 2022. The event structure stands as follows:

SKGKO is open to Classes I- X students studying under CBSE, ICSE, ICBSE or any other accredited state boards of India.

Each class will have a unique question paper. There will be objective type of questions.

The question paper is class-specific and usually consists of the following sections:

(For Classes I-V) 
(i) Section-1: General Awareness   
( ii) Section-2: Scholar's Zone

(For Classes VI-X) 
(i) Section-1: General Awareness
(ii) Section-2: Current Affairs
(iii)Section-3: Scholar's Zone

The competition is held annually on two separate occasions at the school campus, and the institution can choose from the two different dates specified for the Olympiad exam or choose for online mode at their leisure. The date of the Olympiad exam contains a distinctive set of questions. 

The language of the test is English exclusively. 

The Olympiad is held yearly on two counts on the school campus. The institution can pick from specified dates provided for the Olympiad examination or opt for an online test as per their availability. Each session of the Olympiad test involves a distinct set of questions. The relevant authority would notify the institutes to school in due time. 

Stage 2: SilverZone may, at its authority, arrange audio/ video/ in-person interviewing with the top 5 per cent or a maximum of 10 respondents per class to verify the merit list attained in the tests.

Important Notes Awards for Level 1 and Level 2 would be given at once. Level 1 examination and Audio/video/ in-person interviews.

  • 1st: 1st Intl. rank holder from each class will be awarded a cash prize of ₹. 7,500/-.
  • 2nd: 2nd Intl. rank holder in each grade will be rewarded with a Cash Prize of ₹. 7,500/-
  • 3rd: 3rd Intl. rank holder in each grade will be awarded a Cash Prize of ₹. 2,500/-.
  • 4th to 10th: 4th to 10th Intl. Olympiad rank holders in each category will be awarded Medals of Excellence.
  • 11th to 500th: 11th to 500th Intl. Olympiad rank holders in each class will be rewarded with the topper achievement certificate.
  • 1st, 2nd and 3rd: All Zonal Rank 1st, 2nd 3rd rank holders of all categories will be awarded Medals of Excellence.
  • 1st, 2nd, 3rd: Class Topper 1st, 2nd, 3rd rank holders of every type of school will be awarded Medals of Excellence, provided the topper obtains at least 50% marks.
  • All: All the participants will be rewarded with the participation Certificate Reflecting their Class/Zonal/Olympiad Ranks and Marks.
  • For up to 10 students getting the same rank, the award amount will be divided & distributed equally. In addition, each winner will be awarded a Symbolic Golden Medal of Excellence in the relevant category and Certificate. If 11 & more students get the same rank, each winner will be awarded a Medal of Excellence ( in the appropriate category) and a Certificate in place of cash award.
