International Green Warrior Olympiad
(IGWO)

The International Green Warrior Olympiad (IGWO), an initiative by CREST Olympiads, is conducted in collaboration with esteemed organizations such as the Office of PSA (Principal Scientific Advisor) to the Government of India, Unity of Nations Action for Climate Change Council, General Global (Education Program of Tony Blair's Institute of Global Change), and Water Bank Foundation. The IGWO aims to engage students, schools, and global communities in addressing climate challenges and fostering awareness about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Why International Green Warrior Olympiad (IGWO)?

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) offer a structured approach to tackling global issues such as climate change and environmental degradation. The IGWO focuses on 8 out of 17 SDGs, empowering young minds to understand, participate in, and drive sustainable actions. By raising awareness, educating individuals, and mobilizing action, this initiative fosters meaningful engagement with sustainability.

Focused Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in IGWO:

Zero Hunger - Eradicating hunger and promoting sustainable agriculture.
Clean Water and Sanitation - Ensuring water conservation and sanitation for all.
Affordable and Clean Energy - Expanding access to sustainable energy solutions.
Sustainable Cities and Communities - Encouraging urban sustainability and resilience.
Responsible Consumption and Production - Promoting mindful use of resources.
Climate Action - Taking steps to combat climate change.
Life Below Water - Protecting marine ecosystems and reducing pollution.
Life on Land - Preserving terrestrial biodiversity and forests.

These SDGs form the foundation of IGWO and are integrated into the Olympiad syllabus, community activities, and environmental awareness programs.

Other Important Information:

The medium of the exam is English.
The exam explores global challenges related to the 8 SDGs and their interconnections.
The exam is conducted on web-enabled devices such as laptops, tablets, and desktops with webcams. Mobile devices are not allowed.
For Class 1 students, parents/teachers can assist them in navigating the exam.

The International Green Warrior Olympiad syllabus is designed class-wise for Grades 1-12. The content aligns with the 8 SDGs and includes real-world environmental issues, sustainability practices, and ecological conservation strategies.
