The International Hindi Olympiad (IHO) is a prestigious competition that allows students to showcase their knowledge and skills in the Hindi language. This exam focuses on the comprehensive communication and application of the Hindi language, going beyond rote learning and correct grammar usage to test a deep understanding of the language.
IHO is organised in different patterns for various classes:
The IHO syllabus is divided into three main sections
Language and Grammar, Letters and Alphabet, Words and Sentences, Vocabulary, Noun, Pronoun and Adjective, Tense, Verb and Case, Gender and Number, Non-inflected Words, Error Correction and Punctuation, Counting, Names of Days and Months, Dictionary, Indian Literature and Culture.
Unseen Prose, Unseen Poetry, Idioms and Proverbs.
Higher Order Thinking Skills Based Questions – According to the syllabus of Section 1 and 2.
Students from classes 3 to 10 are eligible to participate in IHO. Registration is done only through schools. Individual registrations are not accepted.
